In January the Board of Directors approved a charter to formalize the ISHLT en Español, including a steering committee, with representatives from ISHLT’s ten Professional Communities, representation on the ISHLT Interdisciplinary Network Steering Committees, and a representative to the ISHLT Leadership Advisory Forum. Paola Morejón Barragán, MD of Clínica Guayaquil Servicios Médicos S.A. in Guayaquil, Ecuador, will serve as the inaugural chair, and Maria Crespo, MD of Penn Lung Transplant Program in Philadelphia, will serve as the vice chair.

ISHLT is seeking nominations for the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award and 2025 Distinguished Service Award. All nomination forms must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, 1 May, 2024.
