 Traveling by Rail

Amtrak is a passenger rail service that connects Boston, New York, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Portland (ME) and other points nationwide. Amtrak trains depart from several locations: South Station (Red Line), Back Bay Station (Orange Line) and North Station (Green and/or Orange Line). Visit www.amtrak.com for more information.

Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (The “T”), Boston’s commuter rail, services several stations in Boston, including Back Bay Station, located in close proximity to ISHLT hotels. Visit the MBTA’s trip planner to map your route.

What to Wear and the Weather:

Attire for the ISHLT Annual Meeting and Scientific Sessions is business casual. The average daytime high temperature in Boston in April is 56°F (9°C); the average low temperature is 41°F (5°C). Because meeting room temperatures sometimes fluctuate, we recommend bringing a sweater or jacket.
