From among the 1,400 presentations from the 44th ISHLT Annual Meeting & Scientific Sessions in Prague, three abstracts were selected to receive awards to recognize excellence from early career investigators.

A new ISHLT Standards & Guidelines Consensus Document, ISHLT 2024 Infection Definitions for Durable and Acute Mechanical Circulatory Support Devices, has been published in JHLT and is available to read online! Led by Saima Aslam and Ezequiel Molina, this document provides updated definitions for infections associated with durable MCS devices and new definitions for infections in acute MCS.

Seven ISHLT members volunteered as Roving Reporters at ISHLT2024, covering pivotal educational sessions and areas of interest in their respective Interdisciplinary Networks.
