Escalating and De-Escalating Temporary Mechanical Circulatory Support: Pragmatic Approaches to the Patient in Cardiogenic Shock
10 January, 2023 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. ESTWhen confronted with a patient who presents in cardiogenic shock, as care providers we are faced with persistent high mortality that has not changed appreciably in the last few decades despite the use of temporary mechanical circulatory support (tMCS). During this webinar, speakers iscuss the pragmatic considerations in the escalation and de-escalation of tMCS in patients with cardiogenic shock. Additionally, speakers propose standardized approaches to the use of tMCS. Lastly, the role of tMCS in LV recovery is discussed.

An International Update on Perioperative Lung Transplantation Management

Donor Lung Acceptance and Recipient-Donor Matching

The Future is Now: Use of Hepatitis B Virus and HIV Positive Donors for Thoracic Transplant
27 February, 2023 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.This session, presented by ISHLT and the Transplant Infectious Diseases Section (TID) of The Transplantation Society (TTS), will educate providers on how best to weigh the opportunities and challenges of these organs, summarize the available data for HBV-mismatched transplants and transplantation of organs from HIV+ donors to recipients living with HIV, and share experiences from two centers conducting transplants using the HBV+ and HIV+ donor pool.
