ISHLT’s First All Virtual Annual Meeting to Kick off This Month1 April 2021
ISHLT will host its 41st Annual Meeting & Scientific Sessions on 24-28 April, 2021. The all-virtual event will include educational content spanning the breadth of clinical practice and research concerning heart and lung transplantation, advanced heart and lung disease, mechanical circulatory support, and pulmonary vascular disease.

Research to Assess Impact of Telemedicine on VAD Patients During Pandemic17 September 2020
A researcher at the University of Chicago Medical Center has been awarded a grant to assess whether telemedicine, imposed by the pandemic, leads to improved patient satisfaction and access to care. Karen Meehan MSN, ACNS-BC, CVRN, an advanced practice nurse and VAD coordinator at the University of Chicago Medical Center in Chicago, Ill., has been awarded the ISHLT/ICCAC VAD Coordinator Career Development Award, sponsored by Medtronic.

JHLT Earns Number One Ranking in Transplantation Journals4 August 2020
For the sixth year in a row, The Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation’s Impact Factor earned the publication the number one ranking in the transplantation category. In addition, the Journal also ranked number four in Surgery, number seven in Respiratory and number 13 in the highly competitive Cardiovascular category.
