Board of Directors
The 16-person ISHLT Board of Directors is responsible for managing the affairs of the Society and providing appropriate and effective governance and leadership of ISHLT.

Research Oversight Committee
The purpose of the Research Oversight Committee (ROC) is to oversee, coordinate, and harmonize the activities of the committees under its purview to ensure that their programs and services further the Society’s research mission and strategy.

Education Oversight Committee
The Education Oversight Committee (EOC) is responsible for identifying and connecting the committees or task forces needed to execute projects and programs within the ISHLT education portfolio.

Early Career & Trainee Committee
The purpose of the Early Career and Trainee Committee (ECTC) is to coordinate the Society’s efforts to engage with, provide effective mentorship of and leadership opportunities for those who are in the early stages of their careers.

Ethics Committee
The Ethics Committee addresses issues referred by the Board of Directors or generated by the committee and recommends strategies to advance ISHLT’s goal of fostering an ethical, diverse, and inclusive organization.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee assists with the development of the Society's annual budget and oversees the financial performance of the Society.

Advocacy Committee
Makes recommendations on the Society’s response to global opportunities to support or inform research, education, technologies, and policies that improve access to care and outcomes for patients with advanced heart and lung disease.

ISHLT Foundation Global Steering Committee
The members of the Global Steering Committee are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Foundation’s Fostering Excellence Campaign. Their leadership and support are paramount to the ongoing success of the fundraising effort.
