Preliminary Program

This highly interactive course includes six sessions spanning the lung transplant journey from candidate selection to post transplant management and quality of life. Faculty are composed of highly experienced respiratory physicians, surgeons and intensive care specialists from Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. Session talks will review available scientific evidence and guidelines utilizing real life case-based discussions to connect participants to the content. Audience participation will be strongly encouraged as Q&A sessions are planned throughout the course will maximize learning through audience interaction with the experts. Each section of the course will be directed specifically to a transplant phase covering lung transplant candidacy, waitlist and bridging approaches, surgical and post-operative strategies, rejection, infections and important aspects of post-transplant care.
