ISHLT Adds Chief Operating Officer and Director, Meetings and Education
New management talent will support evolving infrastructure and organizational model
ADDISON, TX – Feb 18, 2020 – The International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT), the world’s largest organization dedicated to furthering the understanding of advanced heart and lung disease, announced the addition of Aaron Adair as the organization’s Chief Operating Officer and Jacky Schweinzger, CMP, as the organization’s Director of Meetings and Education.
Adair will oversee the development of ISHLT infrastructure, including finance, technology and HR, as well as ISHLT’s membership function. He will also provide support for a portfolio of committees within the organization’s new organizational structure. Adair has served in senior operations and leadership roles with the Association of University Technology Managers and the American Association of Dental Boards, among others.
Schweinzger will be responsible for ISHLT events and live education, integrating and innovating the annual meeting, education programming and meeting-related sales functions. Schweinzger most recently served as the Director, Meeting and Events at the Society of Actuaries. She has deep experience working with healthcare specialty societies, including the Academy for Eating Disorders and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies.
