JHLT COI POLICY
In order to ensure and protect the integrity of the JHLT, the ISHLT has developed Policies and Procedures on COI as it applies to the JHLT, its Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editors, Section Editors, and Editorial Board members/Reviewers, as well as authors of manuscripts submitted to JHLT for consideration for publication. This policy is based upon the foundational work of The International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), which updated its Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals in December 2019. Further guidance came from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All individuals who serve in an authorial, editorial, or review capacity for the JHLT must agree to adhere to these policies.
