This webinar will focus on unexpected morphologic findings in heart and lung explants such as neoplasms and acute lung injury among others and the importance of a thorough gross and microscopic examination of explants in a timely manner. Unexpected morphologic findings such as donor-related abnormalities, mimickers of rejection, and neoplasms in allograft biopsies of hearts and lungs will also be shown. Index cases will be presented by early career pathologists and trainees, and then discussed with international experts who will also provide brief overviews of the latest developments in this field.
