Escalating and De-Escalating Temporary Mechanical Circulatory Support: Pragmatic Approaches to the Patient in Cardiogenic Shock
10 January, 2023 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. EST
When confronted with a patient who presents in cardiogenic shock, as care providers we are faced with persistent high mortality that has not changed appreciably in the last few decades despite the use of temporary mechanical circulatory support (tMCS). During this webinar, speakers will discuss the pragmatic considerations in the escalation and de-escalation of tMCS in patients with cardiogenic shock. Additionally, speakers will propose standardized approaches to the use of tMCS. Lastly, the role of tMCS in LV recovery will be discussed.
