Michael A. Shullo Named to ISHLT Board of Directors


 
Addison, Texas – June 5, 2018 – Michael A. Shullo, PharmD, Associate Vice President of Transplant Services at WVU Medicine has been named to the Board of Directors of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT). 
            “Personally, I am excited to be able to serve the ISHLT membership and international advanced heart and lung disease communities,” said Shullo, who has been a member of ISHLT since 2004. 
            Shullo is overseeing the development of new solid organ transplant programs at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.
            The ISHLT is a multidisciplinary, professional organization dedicated to improving the care of patients with advanced heart or lung disease through transplantation, mechanical support and innovative therapies. With more than 3,000 members in more than 45 countries, ISHLT is the world’s largest organization dedicated to the research, education and advocacy of end-stage heart and lung disease. 
             He earned his doctorate and undergraduate degrees in pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh.
