Dr. Martin Goddard, MD, Named to ISHLT Board of Directors


 
Addison, Texas – June 5, 2018 – Dr. Martin Goddard, a Consultant Histopathologist at Royal Papworth Hospital and Business Unit Lead of Pathology Services, has been named to the Board of Directors of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT). 
 
“After 20 years in cardiothoracic transplant pathology and having benefitted from being part of ISHLT, this is a great opportunity to give something back to the Society and contribute to its continued growth and strategic development,” said Dr. Goddard, who has been a member of ISHLT since 1997. 
            
The ISHLT is the world’s largest multidisciplinary, professional organization dedicated to improving the care of patients with advanced heart or lung disease through transplantation, mechanical support and innovative therapies. 
 
Dr. Goddard’s clinical and research interests include Cardiac Transplant, Sudden Adult Death, Vascular Disease and Radiology/Pathology Correlations. He is the Cardiac Pathology adviser to the Royal College of Pathologists.
 
Dr. Goddard received his medical degree in 1984 from Oxford Medical School and is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Surgeons ( England) and the Royal College of Pathologists.
