The Society publishes JHLT Open through the hard work of the JHLT Open Editorial Board.

As a fully online and Gold Open Access publication, JHLT Open provides a forum that includes all aspects of pre-clinical and clinical science of the failing heart and lung that is free for all readers across the globe and is committed to providing a new venue in a modern approach which will help improve the field.

AIMS AND SCOPE
An Official Publication of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, JHLT Open brings readers essential scholarly and timely information in the field of cardiopulmonary transplantation, mechanical and biological support of the failing heart, advanced lung disease (including pulmonary vascular disease) and cell replacement therapy. Importantly, the journal also serves as a medium of communication of pre-clinical sciences in all these rapidly expanding areas.

In general, an email receives a response within 72 hours. If there is an urgent issue that requires the editor's attention or intervention, it is usually attended to immediately.
