Travel & Transportation

For All Travelers Coming from Outside of Czech Republic
All travelers will need a valid passport from their home country to enter the Czech Republic. If you do not have a current passport, we recommend applying for or renewing your passport as soon as possible. In general, your passport should be valid 6 months beyond the last date of your travel. Many countries are experiencing delays in passport service, so act immediately if you plan to attend ISHLT2024.

Travelers Who Need Visas
Some travelers to ISHLT2024 will need a Schengen visa to enter the Czech territory in the continent of Europe for short stays. The following information is from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic:

What to Wear and the Weather:

Attire for the ISHLT Annual Meeting and Scientific Sessions is business casual. The average daytime high temperature in Prague in April is 50°F (16°C); the average low temperature is 44°F (6°C). Because meeting room temperatures sometimes fluctuate, we recommend bringing a light sweater or jacket.

Hotel/Airport Transportation

All hotels are located approximately 30 miles/28 km from Vaclav Havel Airport Prague (PRG). The airport is accessible via taxi (approximately 30 USD/ 685 CZK each way).

Additional ground transportation options between the airport and hotels can be found here.
