The event is being planned as a hybrid meeting, meaning we will offer in-person learning in Toronto as well as a virtual experience.

Your payment must be received by March 23 to qualify for the early registration fee. All registration fees are in U.S. dollars.

Registration Rates and Instructions

  • Industry Rate is available to anyone whose primary employer is a for-profit commercial entity, excluding medical centers and healthcare providers. Individuals who meet this definition may not register under any other category.
     
  • Physician/Surgeon Rate is available to individuals who hold an MD degree or equivalent.
     
  • Allied Health/Non-Physician Rate is available to individuals who do not hold an MD degree or the equivalent (e.g. Non-MDs, PhDs, researchers, nurses pharmacists, physical therapists, psychologist, social workers, etc.) and are not pharmaceutical or device company employees or consultants.
     
  • Non-member Allied Health Registrants must include a letter verifying employment and allied health status with their registration. The letter must be signed by the Chief or Dean of the transplant program. Registration submitted without this letter will not be processed. Email the verification letter to meetings@ishlt.org.
     
  • Student/Trainee Rate is available only to individuals who are actively participating in a formal training program (e.g. medical, graduate and nursing students, residents, fellows, or the equivalent).
     
  • Non-member Student/Trainee Registrants must include a letter verifying their training status with their registration. The letter must be signed by the Chief or Dean of the transplant program. Registration submitted without a letter will not be processed. Email the verification letter to meetings@ishlt.org.
     
  • Guest Rate is available to an attendee’s guest(s), which include spouses, significant others, friends, and family members. Healthcare professionals (physicians, surgeons, allied health, student/trainees, industry) cannot register as guests. The Guest Rate includes access to plenary sessions, the exhibit hall, and exhibit hall receptions. Guests must be accompanied by a meeting registrant.
     
  • ISHLT ACADEMY COURSES (Monday, April 26, 2020): Registration for the Annual Meeting is not required to register for an Academy. Core Competency Courses include a box lunch. On-site registration will only be offered for courses which are not sold out during pre-registration.
     

Registration Policies and Instructions

  • Registration fees are determined by the date when payment in full is received. Registration submitted without payment in full, including declined credit card transactions, are subject to the registration fee in effect at the time payment is received in full.
     
  • Full payment in U.S. funds only must accompany your registration. Checks must be made payable to ISHLT and drawn on a U.S. bank. Bank fees incurred for processing payment will be billed to the registrant.
     
  • Wire transfers must be received by March 23, 2021. A $35 USD fee will be accessed for each wire transfer. These fees are the responsibility of the sender. Email meetings@ishlt.org for wire transfer instructions.
     
  • Registrant substitutions must be received in writing by March 23, 2021. If the substitution isn’t of the same registration category, the difference in the registration rate must be paid or ISHLT will refund the difference. After March 23, 2021, a $25 USD fee will be assessed for each substitution. Email meetings@ishlt.org for registrant substitutions.
     
  • Registration Cancellation Terms
     
    1. Registration cancellations must be made in writing by submitting an email to meetings@ishlt.org noting the specific reasons for the registration cancellation.
       
    2. Full refunds will be issued for cancellations received by 11:59pm CST March 22, 2021.
       
    3. Cancellations received between March 23, 2021 and 11:59pm CST April 5 will be subject to a $75 administrative fee. The $75 administrative fee will be waived for the following reasons, which must be included in your registration cancellation notice to ISHLT:
       
      • The attendee is unable to travel to the meeting due to national or institutional travel restrictions as a result of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
         
      • The attendee feels unsafe travelling to Toronto due to ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
         
    4. No refunds will be issued after April 6, 2021.
       
  • In-Person Meeting Cancellation
    The ISHLT meeting is being planned as a fully hybrid event, including in-person and online (virtual) presentations of content. Should ISHLT cancel the in-person component of the Annual Meeting in Toronto the meeting will become fully virtual and In-Person Registrations will automatically be converted to full Virtual Annual Meeting Registrations. Attendees may select from the following options, subject to the Registration Cancellation Terms above:
     
    1. Do nothing and receive a refund of the difference between the in-person registration fee and the virtual registration fee within 30 days after the conclusion of the meeting.
       
    2. Notify ISHLT that you wish to attend the virtual meeting and *donate the difference between the in-person registration fee and the virtual registration fee as a gift to ISHLT.
       
    3. Notify ISHLT that you do not wish to attend the virtual meeting and you wish to cancel your registration and *donate the full registration fee as a gift to ISHLT.
       
    4. Notify ISHLT of your decision to cancel without rebooking or donating the difference or full registration fee by following the Registration Cancellation instructions above.
       
      *Funds donated back to ISHLT from the Annual Meeting will go to a board-restricted Travel Scholarship Fund to support annual meeting travel for early career members and those practicing in countries with developing economies.
       
  • Refunds
    All refunds will be issued 30 days after the conclusion of the meeting.
     
  • Substituting in person meeting registration to virtual meeting registration or vice versa
    In the event you have registered as an in-person meeting attendee and need to switch to a virtual meeting attendee or vice versa, you may change your registration type prior to April 25, 2021. The difference in registration rates will be refunded or you will be required to pay the difference. Email meetings@ishlt.org for registration type substitutions.
     
  • Invoice Request
    Registration will be subject to a $25 USD administrative fee when requesting an invoice to pay for registration. Please note, to qualify for the early registration discount, full payment must be received or postmarked by March 23. All other payments must be received or postmarked by April 6. ISHLT does not accept purchase orders.
     
  • Payment Confirmation
    Attendees who include an email address on their registration form will receive an email confirmation and receipt within 24 hours of registering online.
     
  • Children 12 and under are not permitted in sessions or the exhibit hall at any time.
     
  • Name Badge Pick Up
    To maintain a secure and safe environment for our meeting attendees, only the person registered for the meeting pay pick up their name badge. There will be no exceptions to this policy.
     
  • Be Well Agreement
    Any public space where other people are present holds an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases. By attending this event, I agree to voluntarily assume all risk related to exposure and agree to not hold ISHLT or any of their affiliates including partners and sponsors, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, volunteers, or sponsored venues liable for illness. I will take necessary precautions while at the event including, but not limited to, engaging in appropriate social distancing, wearing a mask in public areas when not consuming food or beverage, minimize face touching, frequently washing hands and avoiding risky environments such as overcrowded bars or restaurants. I agree to not attend any ISHLT event if I feel ill or had recent exposure to a COVID-19 case.
